At MJ May Material Specialists Inc., we offer converting services for tapes, films, fabrics, rubber and metals. We utilize sheeting, lamination, slitting, belting, strip, die and waterjet cutting processes. Our die cut shapes include discs, washers, gaskets, bumpers, squares and rectangles. With top-of-the-line equipment, we have the sheeting range of up to 0.2 inch thickness, 3 inches length and width with ±1/16 inch of tolerance.

Our slitting capabilities are suitable for parts that are 0.125 to 60 inches wide and 0.0005 to 0.06 inch thick with ±1/32 inch of tolerance. We support laminating of parts that have 0.001 to 1 inch thickness and 60 inches width. Our round and flat belts handle materials from 1/8 to 3/4 inch in diameter and 3/8 to 3 inches in width respectively.

Materials we work with include high-temperature fiberglass, PTFE coated tapes, PTFE, Kapton® (polyimide) and UHMW. We additionally convert custom belts and shafting. Prototype, low to high volume production and blanket orders are supported. Lead times are quoted on a job by job basis. Emergency and rush services are available. We comply with ANSI, ASME, ASTM, CE, CSA, FDA, ISO, QS, RoHS, SAE and military standards.

Our clients come from a diverse range of industries including aerospace, agriculture, automotive, biotechnology, chemical, electronics, electrical, energy, food production, marine, medical, military, mining, nuclear, waste management, pharmaceutical, robotics, textile, transportation, oil and gas.
